About Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation

Brief information of Ministry of Return and Repatriation In 1986 a committee named; Office of Reintegration was established and was run by Minister Committee till 1990. But in 1992 when Mujahidin took over the committee (Office of Reintegration) changed name and was upgraded to Ministry of Return and Repatriation. The MoRR has always been influenced by political changes in the country. During Taliban regime the MoRR was downgraded to Directorship and was merged with the Ministry of Work, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled. After the collapse of Taliban regime, and based on International Bonn Agreements in 2001 and establishment of transitional Government this Office was once again upgraded to Ministry of Return and Repatriation. Currently MoRR has three Deputy Ministers and 15 Directorships in Kabul, as well as 34 secondary offices in the provinces, and 5 delegates in Pakistan, Iran, Greece, Turkey and Indonesia
